Happy Halloween with Alvin Hollingsworth's The Ghost of Fire!

On this Halloween when the ghost and gullies come out to play, I thought I would share a great old horror story from the Golden Age of comic books as told by the great Alvin Hollingsworth.

Alvin C. Hollingsworth (25 February 1928 - July 14, 2000) was one of the very first African-Americans in the comic book industry. He grew up in Harlem, Manhattan and was working in the comic business in 1946. He was most active in the 50's and worked on everything from cowboy comics to war comics to romance comics though he is most fondly remembered for his horror comics. He eventually left the comics business in the late 50's and went on to become a fine artists and teacher at  Hostos Community College of the City University of New York.

the Ghost of Fire is by Alvin Hollingsworth and originally appeared in Beware #9, May 1954
